:: About Inlandia Events
The mission of the Riverside Public Library's Cultural Arts Events program is to spark curiosity and provide tools for discovery through the arts and culture of Riverside’s diverse communities.
The Library’s Cultural Arts Events are designed to engage adults, students, and families, free of charge, in life long learning through literature, music, dance, visual art and film.
The events foster the love of reading by presenting the Library’s collections of American and foreign films, DVDs, CDs and audio cassettes, one of the most comprehensive collections of musical scores in the region and, of course, published literature in all of its forms. Each season’s schedule brings a variety of offerings sometimes focused around a particular theme or culture.
The Riverside Public Library hosts the Inlandia Literary Institute in partnership with Heyday Books. Inlandia programs and authors are highlighted in the seasonal Cultural Events Calendar.
These exceptional Cultural Arts Events are made possible through well established partnerships with the University of California Riverside’s Creative Writing, Dance and Music Departments, Writers Week, the California Museum of Photography, the Maxwell H. Gluck Foundation’s UCR Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts, Riverside County Office of Education, Poets and Writers, Inc., the Riverside Arts Council, the Riverside Art Museum and Riverside Community College.
Friends of the Riverside Public Library and the Riverside Public Library Foundation are sustaining sponsors.
The Riverside Public Library is proud to be a member of the Riverside Cultural Consortium.
