:: Donating to the library

We welcome your donations to the library. However, due to limited space and staff, we can't accept all items.

Items we can't accept:

• Boxes of materials that are damaged, dirty, yellowed, dusty and/or musty
• Readers Digest condensed books
• Law books
• Sets of encyclopedias more than three years old
• School textbooks more than three years old
• Audiocassettes
• Newspapers
• National Geographic magazine

At the Main Library, we will accept other magazines up to five years old, but at the branches, the limit is one year.

What to do with items we don't accept

Check with schools, churches and charitable agencies or use your recycle bin. To find a recycling center near you, call Public Works at 951-826-5689.
