
The IT Department has selected Xerox as its outsourcing partner. Xerox is the leading outsourcing company in the Public Sector, has highly skilled resources that are experienced in city government, is client driven, service delivery focused and has the capability to rapidly adapt resources to meet the City's evolving demands. Under the direction of the City's CIO, CTO and COO, Xerox manages, operates, and supports the City's data centers, networks, applications, help desk and client/user services. Xerox also manages departmental projects and SmartRiverside's award winning Digital Inclusion Center.
In 2010 the City nominated and Xerox won the Center for Digital Government's prestigious Best Fit Integrator Exceptional Service Award for Enterprise System Integration. This national recognition was for the City of Riverside team's outstanding work integrating 311, SPL work order, Permits Plus, Graffiti, and GIS systems using SOA, Web, BPEL and other services and paving the way for all applications to be easily integrated, easy to learn, easy to use, highly efficient and accessible by authorized users from any location at any time.
