The City of Riverside Human Relations Commission (HRC) is pleased to announce the Riverside Treasures project.

Each year HRC will honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Riverside’s cultural, political, public, and/or private sector by bringing together various stakeholders to advance Riverside’s quality of life.

We encourage your commission/organization to participate in this program by nominating one or more individuals (living or deceased) for the Riverside Treasures project. The HRC wants to highlight these individuals in an outreach video that will be broadcast on our local cable channels and used during HRC presentations.

There are three (3) ways to submit a nomination: by email, regular mail or fax. Nominations must be postmarked or received by Friday, August 1, 2008.

We hope that all Riverside Treasures honorees will agree to participate in the video project. The HRC will notify all honorees of their selection and try to schedule a mutually agreeable time for filming. The HRC would also like to invite the honorees to special HRC-sponsored events in recognition of those who have positively affected the Riverside community.
