Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones

State Government Code Section 51175 requires local agencies to post a notice of very high fire hazard severity zones (VHFHSZ) within our jurisdiction. The VHFHSZ’s have been designated by the State. The identification of these areas allow public officials to identify measures such as building code requirements and vegetation management practices in order to minimize loss of life and property from fire.
