Administration

The Administrative Division is led by Division Chief Mike Esparza. Our purpose is to provide policy direction/leadership/vision, administration, and fiscal management to enable the Department to achieve program outcomes while complying with federal, state, local, and other requirements.

The Administration Division consists of an Administrative Division Chief, Administrative Services Manager, Administrative Analyst, two information technology analysts, and two clerical staff members. Together we oversee an annual budget of approximately $43 million. We are presently managing grants totaling almost $2.8 million.

Management Philosophy

The management team of the Fire Department will function under the highest ethical standards in the execution of its responsibilities. The management team recognizes that the achievements of the organization depend upon the success of our personnel. We will, therefore, provide available resources needed for personal growth while recognizing the fact that the individual must also commit to accomplishing organizational goals. We pledge to act in a professional manner, accepting the responsibility and accountability associated with resource management, while committing ourselves to the accomplishment of the department mission.
