8th Annual UCR
Tuskegee Airmen Celebration
Join the historic celebration of
the Tuskegee Airmen on Saturday,
November 17 from 2:00 p.m. to
5:00 p.m. at the Orbach Science
Library Rotunda at UCR. The
event’s theme is “Tuskegee
Airmen: Heroes at Ramitelli” in
honor of the Tuskegee Airmen who
were the first African Americans
to engage as fighter pilots
during World War II. The
celebration will bring together
some of the Tuskegee Airmen and
the white bomber pilots whom
they escorted to tell their
mutual stories.

The Riverside Downtown
Partnership and Aurea Vista, a
Shopping Mecca present the first
Destination STYLE fashion show
on Saturday, November 17 from

Riverside County Regional
Medical Center’s Annual Festival
of Trees
Riverside County Regional
Medical Center Foundation's
Festival of Trees has become a
special holiday tradition.
Scheduled over five days during
Thanksgiving week, the Festival
of Trees features over 50
elaborately decorated trees,
each with its own unique theme
and the event has grown to
attract over 30,000 people. The
annual event is the only major
fundraiser benefiting the
Pediatric units at the hospital.
Proceeds each year are used to
purchase desperately needed and
often lifesaving equipment for
the children's units including
the Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit, the Child Abuse and
Neglect Unit, and the Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit.

Festival of Lights on Main
Street Riverside is your chance

the “Switch-On Ceremony”;

Santa Claus. It all begins with
festive activities at noon and

p.m. during the “Switch-On
Ceremony” presented by Duane and
