Newly renovated skate park and
pool building grand opening
The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
invites you
to the Hunt Park Skate Park and Pool Building Grand
Opening on Friday,
September 16, at Hunt Park located at 4015 Jackson
Street. The grand
opening will take place from 4 – 6 p.m. and will feature
refreshments,
skate demonstrations, free swimming and registration
opportunities.

Deaf Awareness Week
The City of Riverside’s Model Deaf Community Committee
is
excited to celebrate Deaf Awareness Week. From September
18 – 23,
community members are invited to attend various
activities taking place
in and around the city including: a community
picnic-kick-off at Villegas
Park, an open house, hearing screenings, a California
Citrus State
Historic Park tour, storytelling, an evening of comedy
and more.

RPD’s Community Car Seat Clinic
Four out of five children are not buckled up correctly
when transported
in a vehicle. As part of the National Child Passenger
Safety Week, the
Riverside Police Department is hosting a FREE Community
Car Seat
Clinic on Wednesday, September 21, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
in the
Target parking lot (3520 Tyler Street). Certified child
safety
technicians will be available to answer questions,
inspect

Jon Secada, Cuban-American singer, songwriter and
multi-platinum recording
artist, will perform at the Fox Performing Arts Center
on Saturday, September 24,
at 8 p.m. Joining Jon on stage for a performance of a
selected song will be the
RCC Vocal Jazz Ensemble “RCCerious”, with whom he has
worked when
giving his master classes at the Riverside Community
College.
