Fox Riverside Theater Foundation
The Fox Performing Arts Center opened in January 2010
with
great fanfare to an enthusiastic community, kicking off
an exciting
inaugural year
that has delivered performances by internationally-
known artists such as Sheryl Crow and Natalie Cole. The
Fox
Riverside Theater Foundation offers devoted patrons a
way to
help expand on this first year of success.

Riverside Aquatics Complex
Grand Opening Celebration
The Riverside Aquatics Complex will make its debut on
Saturday,
January 22, at 10 a.m. at Riverside City College. This
new
facility includes an Olympic-sized competition pool,
competitive
diving, water polo and synchronized swimming venues,
and separate aquatics training areas.

Commercial Improvement Program
update – Olivia’s Mexican Restaurant
Located in the historic commercial core of the Arlington
Village
the family-owned and operated Olivia’s Mexican
Restaurant
has been serving delicious Mexican food since 1978. With
the
help of a Commercial Improvement Program grant, the
owners
were able to make their building improvements a success.

Dickens Festival
The 2011 Riverside Dickens Festival will be January 21 –
23
at the Riverside Convention Center in downtown
Riverside.
Plays, street performers, food, music and workshops are
a few
of the activities and events planned for this fun-filled
weekend.

Weekend closures of Riverside
Freeway at Van Buren Boulevard
Early morning drivers should plan for closures on the
Riverside Freeway (91)
at Van Buren
Boulevard to allow for the removal of temporary bridge
supports.
All westbound lanes will close Friday, January 7, at 11
p.m.
and reopen Saturday, January 8, at 6 a.m. All eastbound
lanes will
close Saturday, January 8, at 11:30 p.m. and reopen on
Sunday,
January 9, at 7 a.m.
