The City of Riverside is creating 2010’s Largest Holiday Card for
U.S. troops from a collage of local resident’s photos.  Share your
photos at RiversideFestivalofLights.com and we’ll add them before
the card is presented to the troops at March Air Reserve Base on
December 15.  Don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of history
and show your support to our troops this holiday season.

Bulky item drop off

Make room for the holidays and get rid of your bulky items for FREE
this Saturday, December 4.  Residents can also take advantage of a
FREE mulch pick-up and recycle household batteries and fluorescent
light bulbs.  The event will be at the City Corporation Yard, located at
8095 Lincoln Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Experience the joy at the 18^th Annual
Riverside Festival of Lights

With more than three and a half million twinkling lights, the
Riverside Festival of Lights presented by the Mission Inn Hotel &
Spa is the most dazzling outdoor holiday light spectacle south of the
North Pole.  Riverside residents and visitors can glide under the
stars on the outdoor ice skating rink, enjoy nightly entertainment,
take a carriage ride, shop at unique stores and dine.

 Star Trek motion simulator ride

The Metropolitan Museum’s Star Trek The Exhibit has a new feature
for visitors to enjoy – a motion simulator ride.  Go on a four-minute
mission with the Starfleet crew to destroy the enemy Borg ship.  The
simulator ride is located on the corner of University Avenue and Main
Street across from The Metropolitan Showcase and is available now
through January 2, as part of the Festival of Lights celebration.
