Festival of Trees featured
Thanksgiving week
Riverside County Regional Medical Center Foundation’s
Festival
of Trees has become a special holiday tradition for
Riversiders.
Over 50 elaborately decorated trees, each with its own
unique
theme, will be featured at the event which runs for five
days
during Thanksgiving week at the Riverside Convention
Center.

Construction at Five Points underway
The Five Points Street Widening Project that will
realign and improve
the intersection of La Sierra Avenue, Pierce Street,
Hole Avenue and
Bushnell Avenue, known as “Five Points,” is now
underway. The project
is estimated to take approximately five months to
complete.

Switch-on Ceremony
Join thousands of Riversiders and visitors at Mission
Inn Avenue and
Orange Street in downtown Riverside on Friday, November
26, at
6:15 p.m. for the 18th Annual Riverside
Festival of Lights Switch-on
Ceremony. This event is presented by Duane and
Kelly Roberts,
owners of The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. More than
three and a half
million twinkling lights and a spectacular fireworks
display will light up
the sky in Riverside on this special evening.

Residents urged to register
cell phones for Reverse 911
The Riverside Police Department is asking residents to
register their
cell phone numbers with the City's Reverse 911 system.
The system
is used to make automated calls to alert residents and
businesses
about safety emergencies and give information on
evacuations, road
