Riverside experiences growth
in sales tax revenues
For the second consecutive quarter, the City of
Riverside is seeing
growth in its sales tax revenues. The State Board
of Equalization
has reported that sales increased 5.7% in the second
quarter in 2010.

New turf brings more activity
to Ramona Stadium
Riverside pride is running high this football season at
the Ramona
High School Stadium. Ramona and Arlington High Schools,
Pop
Warner and Junior All-American football programs are
proud to
call this new artificial turf field “home”. The
project is a true
example of community collaboration to provide joint-use
facilities.

Construction activity is a
positive sign for Riverside
A giant crane marks the site of yet another new downtown
building
project at the corner of University Avenue and Lime
Street. Citrus Tower
is downtown’s newest office building. This project
along with
many others throughout the City brings thousands of jobs
to Riverside.

Riverside welcomes new state-of-the-art
plastics recycling facility
CarbonLITE Industries LLC recently announced its plans
to locate its
operations in a new 220,000-square-foot facility in
Riverside. The plant
is scheduled to come on-stream in mid-2011.
CarbonLITE will employ
80 workers within the first two years of becoming fully
operational.
