Mayor’s Night Out

Want to meet your Mayor?  Have questions about projects in your

Riverside to receive an additional $3.2 million
to help stabilize neighborhoods

The City of Riverside is set to receive an additional $3.2 million for its
Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), which was recently
recognized as a finalist for the National League of Cities 2010 Awards for
Municipal Excellence.  These funds will augment the existing NSP
program and allow us to make a bigger impact in our neighborhoods
through the purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed homes.

for any successful vision plan is that it must be broadly supported by
residents, businesses, employees and students.  This site is a tool
to help educate these groups about Seizing Our Destiny, build
momentum and encourage active participation, as well as a
way to show progress and showcase successes.

Eastbound Riverside Freeway at
Van Buren closing Saturday night

On Saturday, September 18, at 11:30 p.m., the eastbound lanes on
the Riverside (91) Freeway will be temporarily closing.  Construction
crews will close the lanes to install beams in a bridge as part of the
widening of the Van Buren overpass.  The lanes are scheduled
to reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
