There’s A Buzz of New Business on Main Street Riverside

Tuesday, August 20th, 2013

Riverside residents and visitors have more choices for Downtown dining with the recent opening of two new establishments on Main Street Riverside. Salad Buzz and Mission Martini join the growing list of restaurants and bars that have opened this year in downtown Riverside.

Salad Buzz, located at 3737 Main Street, Suite 102 will be serving a fresh line up for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including build-your-own salads and wraps, Panini’s, smoothies and desserts. The café rounds out the variety of choices diners can choose from along Main Street Riverside.

Salad Buzz owners Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pal decided to open their restaurant in downtown Riverside because they have always liked its community atmosphere . Both vegetarians, the Pal’s often have trouble finding a wide variety of choices when they go out to eat. Mrs. Pal said she hopes to offer customers a fresh option with lots of variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians to enjoy. Salad Buzz is scheduled to open on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.

Mr. Pu, the owner of Elephant Thai Cuisine, has expanded his operations into what was formerly a 1,600 square foot office space adjacent to his restaurant to create Mission Martini Bar. Nearing its two-year anniversary, Elephant Thai Cuisine has proven to be a hit with a steady customer base since first opening and Pu saw the vacant space as a way to grow his business by adding a new upscale martini bar to the emerging nightlife scene in downtown Riverside.

Pu hopes to offer a relaxing ambiance, with no TV’s he points out, where people can come to enjoy a martini and each other’s company. Mission Martini is currently serving eight signature martinis with more to come and an official grand opening will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks.
