Hayneedle, the 4th largest online seller of exclusive home and outdoor furnishings, is coming to the City of Riverside. This spring, Hayneedle will begin leasing 300,000 square feet of distribution and fulfillment space in the Sycamore Canyon area of eastern Riverside to ship orders in the western U.S.
Hayneedle.com is the online destination to find everything for the home…from patio furniture to platform beds, coffee tables to cuckoo clocks. The company delivers to 70% of its customers in two days via standard ground shipping. The company expects to increase that number to nearly 90% with the opening of the Riverside-based distribution center.
“The West Coast facility is yet another milestone in our growth and the location aligns with our commitment to provide unparalleled selection and unmatched customer service,” said Tom Clement, Vice President of Supply Chain and Logistics, Hayneedle. “We are excited to join the Riverside community, which has been very enthusiastic in welcoming us.”
The new facility will open in spring 2013 with a core team of approximately 20 associates; the number of employees is expected to double in the next few years. Positions will range from general warehouse associates to management positions in operations, human resources and industrial engineering. The company expects the majority of the hiring will begin in early 2013.
