The Riverside County Office of Foreign Trade will be hosting the World Trade & Investment Summit on Thursday, June 6. The event will provide the business community the chance to explore exporting opportunities around the globe, and teach them how to access those markets and locate buyers seeking to buy products made in the USA.
The summit features keynote speaker Leocadia I. Zak, Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, where she leads an agency dedicated to encouraging economic growth in emerging markets and the export of U.S. goods and services to those markets. In addition, guests will hear from a VIP line-up of international, federal and state officials, and will also be able to network with successful exporters, meet and discuss export financing and underwriting with a team of bankers and underwriters, and learn about the hottest markets around the globe for products manufactured or grown here in Riverside County. Attendees can find out more about the benefits of being in the Foreign Trade Zone, such as tax and tariff eliminations or reductions. The event will also showcase the international investment being made in the county and its 28 cities.
The event will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Diamond Club in Lake Elsinore. Admission to the event is free of charge.
