La Sierra University Tom and Vi Zapara School of Business Named to 50 Most Beautiful Business Schools

Monday, November 18th, 2013

The new Tom and Vi Zapara School of Business at La Sierra University has been named the number one Most Beautiful Business School in the World according to TopManagmentDegrees.com.

The website gives the following justification for the school’s ranking:

La Sierra University’s brand new Tom and Vi Zapara School of Business brings a little bit of the outdoors indoors with one memorable feature. Real palm trees, which have been freeze-dried to keep them preserved, are situated in the atrium and reach right up to the second level. The stunning building was conceived by Thomas Riggle, the president of Riverside, California’s TR Design Group, and it has been heralded for Outstanding Design by the 2013 American School & University Architectural Portfolio. The new headquarters of the School of Business was opened in late September 2013.

Not only is La Sierra University’s new business school beautiful, but it is also home to a strong program and state of the art facilities designed to train future business leaders in Inland Southern California. The Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) program is a prime example of the strength of the Tom and Vi Zapara School of Business. For over twenty years, the La Sierra University Students in Free Enterprise Team has demonstrated what is possible when students put their education to work. From starting a cow bank and building schools in India, to supporting local small business owners in Southern California and empowering low-income families with affordable ways to live healthier on a budget, the team has successfully utilized entrepreneurial action to significantly impact our local and global community. The La Sierra University SIFE team has worked as one of over 1,500 teams in thirty-nine countries forming a global network of students committed to making a difference in their communities. Their hard work has been rewarded as the team has won six National Championship and two SIFE World Cup wins.
