Research Park )
A partnership between the City of Riverside, the County of Riverside and the
University of California, Riverside (UCR) has been the key in supporting and
attracting technology companies to the City of Riverside. The
tri-party partnership has established a University Research Park (URP) that
is in close proximity to UCR and offers access to the University's numerous
resources and unique advantages for high tech firms. The research park
has already become home to a number of technology companies and is fostering
synergies among tenants and developers.
URP is a 56-acre campus-style setting specifically designed for R & D and
technology-based manufacturing businesses. Among the existing tenants
are firms specializing in information technology, environmental technology
and biotech pharmaceutical research and development.
The Park is located not only in the County of Riverside's Highgrove
Redevelopment Project Area, but also in the Agua Mansa Enterprise Zone.
Businesses locating or expanding in this area may qualify for a variety of
financial incentives offered by the State of California and the City of
Riverside.
