Software Council of Southern California

College of Engineering, Center for Environmental
Research and Technology (CE-CERT)

CE-CERT is a public/private collaborative sponsored by the University of California, Riverside's College of Engineering.  CE-CERT provides a systems approach to research challenges.  It contributes expertise from a variety of disciplines to address the complex issues that challenge the environment.  CE-CERT's research agenda is focused on advanced vehicle technologies and systems; emissions measurement, analysis and control; atmospheric measurement and modeling; environmental analysis and policy; and renewable energy.  The staff and graduate level students often collaborate on projects and among groups, providing their expertise, insight, and creativity to the research enterprise.  For more information on CE-CERT, call (951) 781-5791; or you can write to Bourns College of Engineering, Center or Environmental Research and Technology, Mail Code 022, University of California, Riverside, Riverside, CA 92507.   You can also reach CE-CERT via their website at www.cert.ucr.edu.

This website provides an opportunity for the technically trained job seeker to identify Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, and the Pomona Valley) employment opportunities.  In addition, the site creates a medium to not only post and manage technology-based positions within the Inland Empire, but it allows the employer to search for qualified technology-based employees.  The overall goal of this website is to: (1) reduce the reliance on the neighboring counties job market by the Inland Empire technically trained labor force; (2) retain College/University technically trained graduates within the Inland Empire; and (3) facilitate the development of technology-based companies within the Inland Empire.

California Technology Investment Partnership (CalTIP)
The CalTIP matching grant program facilitates the creation of new high tech businesses in California by helping small high tech companies bring product to market.  The program works by funding business assistance services through the Regional Technology Alliances, and by directing financial aid to small- and medium-sized California companies.  Any California-based for -profit and private businesses can apply.  Eligible Activities include: Telecommunications, information displays, multimedia, health care technologies, environmental, advanced transportation, aerospace, and energy.  For more information, contact the Sacramento Office of California Technology, trade and Commerce Agency at (916) 324-8215, or check the website located at California Technology Investment Partnership (CalTIP).
