1. Mayor Loveridge to call upon Planning Director Ken Gutierrez to acknowledge the American Planning Association Comprehensive Planning Award - Large Jurisdiction and the Southern California Association for Governments Compass Blueprint Distinguished Leadership Award

2. Mayor Loveridge to call upon Development Department’s Arts and Cultural Affairs Manager Jonathan Yorba and Museum Director Ennette Morton to announce new Citywide Arts and Culture Program

DISCUSSION CALENDAR--This portion of the City Council's Agenda is for all matters where staff and public participation is anticipated. Audience participation is encouraged.

3. Mayor Loveridge and Mayor Pro Tempore Schiavone recommend a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, expressing the City Council’s opposition to DHL’s plan to expand its operations by contracting with Polar Air for a nightly flight between Riverside and Asia which would involve late-night landings and early-morning departures from the March Air Reserve Base and authorizing the City Attorney to take all necessary and appropriate legal action in order to oppose the March Joint Powers Authority’s approval of this plan and to otherwise abate the disproportionate noise impacts to the citizens of the City of Riverside caused by DHL’s late-night and early-morning flights - Waive further reading (All Wards)

4. CONSENT CALENDAR--All matters listed under the CONSENT CALENDAR are considered routine by the City Council and may be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless, before the City Council votes on the motion to adopt, Members of the City Council or staff request specific items be removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action.

17. Five-year Agreement with Asplundh Tree Expert Company for total contract amount not-to-exceed $6,939,712 from Public Utilities Department budget for electric line clearance tree trimming services (All Wards)

Riverside Renaissance - A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, declaring that based upon estimates approved by the City Manager, the repaving and striping of various City streets may be performed better or more economically by City forces and authorizing the work to be performed by City forces without competitive bidding - Waive further reading (Ward 4)

19. Final approval of Parcel Map 35379 - I.W.
