Master Plan & Redevelopment Projects

Redevelopment Zone

Selected acreage on and around the Airport is located in City designated redevelopment zones. As such, certain development projects are eligible for redevelopment assistance, utility fee incentives, etc.

West Side Development Project

A prime 20-acre site on the Airport's west side is under development as a site for new hangars and aircraft service facilities. This project will be enhanced with a full-length taxiway parallel to the west side of Runway 16-34. In addition, the VOR will be relocated to the northwest side of the Airport. Included in this project will be an extension to the south end of Taxiway "B" lengthening it to the approach end of Runway 34.

North Side Development Project

The Airport's north side consists of approximately 80 acres. This site, immediately adjacent to the full length of the main Runway, is designated for hangar and aircraft service facilities dedicated to corporate and business aviation operations and manufacturing. An FAA grant for the infrastructure development is pending.
