MISSION STATEMENT

"The Community Police Review Commission was created in order to promote public confidence in

 the professionalism and accountability of the sworn staff of the Riverside Police Department."

 
  
Pursuant to Government code section 54954.2 the Community Police Review Commission will conduct a meeting at the above
   time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda. 
 

 

 

 

5:30 PM – REGULAR MEETING (OPEN SESSION)

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Any person wishing to speak on an agenda item must file this form prior to the beginning of the meeting or the time
    that the item is called for discussion.

 

Public Comment will take place after the introduction of each agenda item. The speaker may choose to address the
   Commission either before OR after discussion by Commissioners, but may only speak one time on any agenda item.
   The speaker must check the appropriate box on the “Request to Speak” form, specifying if they wish to speak before
   or after discussion of an agenda item. The same rules apply to presentations by guest speakers and / or a training
   course for Commissioners.  Any questions posed by members of the public during public comment may be asked of
   the presenter only by the Commission Chair during Commission discussion.

 

Five (5) minutes per speaker may be allocated family members or their spokesperson speaking regarding an
    officer-involved death.

 

Three (3) minutes per speaker may be allocated for all other public comment.

OLD BUSINESS

 

  5.   Pablo Officer-Involved Death (OID) Case Evaluation

        Continued discussion and action, if any, on this OID evaluation.  The Commission has completed Stage II (Fact
            Finding, Request for Training & Investigation) and Stage III (Policy and Procedure Process).  Commissioners
            have been given notice concerning discussion of Stage IV (Deliberation and Finding Process).  The
            Commission may proceed to Stage V (Recommendation Process) and Stage VI (Written Public Report) and
            may also return to discussion of completed Stages, if needed.

 

  6.   Romo Officer-Involved Death (OID) Case Evaluation

        Continued discussion and action, if any, on this OID evaluation.  The Commission has completed Stage II (Fact
            Finding, Request for Training & Investigation) and Stage III (Policy and Procedure Process).  Commissioners
            have been given notice concerning discussion of Stage IV (Deliberation and Finding Process).  The
            Commission may proceed to Stage V (Recommendation Process) and Stage VI (Written Public Report) and
            may also return to discussion of completed Stages, if needed.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

  7.   Change of Regular Meeting Date Due to Occasional Event Conflicts

        Discussion and action, if any, regarding changing a Regular Meeting from the scheduled 4th Wednesday of the
            month to the 2nd Wednesday when a community event or conference is being held that creates a conflict with
            the scheduled Regular Meeting.

            announcements or a brief report on their own activities.
