MISSION STATEMENT

"The Community Police Review Commission was created in order to promote

public confidence in the professionalism and accountability

of the sworn staff of the Riverside Police Department."

 
  
Pursuant to Government code section 54954.2 the Community Police Review Commission will conduct a meeting at the above
   time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda. 
 

 

PLEASE NOTE:  The scheduled hearing times are approximate.  No item will be heard before its scheduled time but may be heard later in the meeting.

  

 

5:30 PM – TRAINING / SPECIAL MEETING (OPEN SESSION)

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Any person wishing to speak on an agenda item must file this form prior to the beginning of the meeting or the time
    that the item is called for discussion.

 

Public Comment will take place after the introduction of each agenda item. The speaker may choose to address the
   Commission either before OR after discussion by Commissioners, but may only speak one time on any agenda item.
   The speaker must check the appropriate box on the “Request to Speak” form, specifying if they wish to speak before
   or after discussion of an agenda item. The same rules apply to presentations by guest speakers and / or a training
   course for Commissioners.  Any questions posed by members of the public during public comment may be asked of
   the presenter only by the Commission Chair during Commission discussion.

 

Five (5) minutes per speaker may be allocated family members or their spokesperson speaking regarding an
    officer-involved death.

 

Three (3) minutes per speaker may be allocated for all other public comment.

        Discussion and action, if any, to approve the Letter of Commendation regarding Officer Zach Fishell.

 

  9.   2012 Annual Report

        Discussion and action, if any, regarding Draft No. 3 of the 2012 Annual Report

 

10.   Revisions to CPRC By-Laws: Second Reading

        Discussion and action, if any, on the document-wide revisions to the CPRC By-Laws (attached).

 

11.   Noting of Questions & Answers in CPRC Minutes

        Discussion and action, if any, on the method by which commissioner questions and a presenter’s answers
            should be noted in the CPRC Minutes:

         A)  A section for each commissioner noting the questions asked and the presenter’s response;

         B)  No division by commissioner.  All questions and answers are noted in the strict chronological order in which
                   they were asked; or

         C)  Other suggestions.
