MISSION STATEMENT

"The Community Police Review Commission was created in order to promote public confidence in the professionalism and accountability of the sworn staff of the
Riverside Police Department."
 

Pursuant to Government code section 54954.2 the Community Police Review Commission will conduct a meeting at the above time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda. 
 

PLEASE NOTE:  The scheduled hearing times are approximate.  No item will be heard before its scheduled time but may be heard later in the meeting.

 Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the Commission will adjourn to Closed Session to discuss issues

 Members of the public who wish to address the Commission must complete and submit to the Clerk a blue "Request to Speak"
  form.  Please note the number of the agenda item(s) on which public comment will be made.

 

 Public comment will take place after the introduction of each agenda item, but prior to a guest speaker's presentation and / or
  the Commission's discussion of the item.  Each speaker may address the Commission for up to three (3) minutes.  During
  officer-involved death deliberations, family members or a family spokesperson may address the Commission for up to
  five (5) minutes.

 6.  Hill Officer-Involved Death (OID) Evaluation Process

      Continued discussion and further action, if any (which may include approval of the public report), of the Commission's public
       report regarding the officer-involved death of Joseph Hill on October 19, 2006.  The process is expected to continue with:

      A) Discussion of Stage VI, Public Report

 

 7.  Commission Reports

      Discussion and action, if any, of the manner of drafting and writing Commission reports, including OID Public Reports and
       Case Investigation summaries

      A)  Report on progress of laptops and paperless system

      E)  Upcoming Training

      Discussion and action, if any of items to promote outreach efforts.
