MISSION STATEMENT

"The Community Police Review Commission was created in order to promote public confidence in the professionalism and accountability of the sworn staff of the
Riverside Police Department."

 

   Pursuant to Government code section 54954.2 the Community Police Review Commission will conduct a meeting at the
   above time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda.

 

 

   PLEASE NOTE:  The scheduled hearing times are approximate.  No item will be heard before its scheduled time
   but may be heard later in the meeting.

   PLEASE NOTE:

   Members of the public who wish to address the Commission must complete and submit to the Clerk a blue "Request to
   Speak" form, noting the number of the agenda item on which public comment will be made.

 

   Each speaker may address the Commission for up to three (3) minutes.  During officer-involved death deliberations,
   family members or a family spokesperson may address the Commission for up to five (5) minutes.

      June 24 Regular Meeting

 

4.   Hill Officer-Involved Death (OID) Evaluation Process

 Continued discussion and further action, if any (which may include approval of the public report), of the Commission's
  public report regarding the officer-involved death of Joseph Hill on October 19, 2006.  The process is expected to continue with:

       A)  Discussion of Stage VI, Public Report

 

5.   Annual Reports Draft

       Discussion and further action, if any, of the draft report covering the Commission’s activities in 2007 and 2008

 

6.   Commission Reports

 Discussion and action, if any, of the manner of drafting and writing Commission reports, including OID Public Reports,
  and Case Investigation summaries

 

7.   Outreach

 Discussion and action, if any of items to promote outreach efforts.

 

8.   Commission Member Comments

 Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, Commission members may use this time to make brief announcements
 or a brief report on his or her own activities.
