MISSION STATEMENT

"The Community Police Review Commission was created in order to promote public confidence in the professionalism and accountability of the sworn staff of the
Riverside Police Department."

   Pursuant to Government code section 54954.2 the Community Police Review Commission will conduct a meeting at the
   above time and place for the purpose of transacting or discussing business as identified on this agenda.

   PLEASE NOTE:  The scheduled hearing times are approximate.  No item will be heard before its scheduled time
   but may be heard later in the meeting.

  This is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Commission on closed session items.

   3.  Closed Session – Case Review

  Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the Commission will adjourn to Closed Session to discuss issues
  pertaining to PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERSONNEL MATTERS.

   5:30 PM – REGULAR MEETING

   PLEASE NOTE:

   Members of the public who wish to address the Commission must complete and submit to the Clerk a blue "Request to
   Speak" form, noting the number of the agenda item on which public comment will be made.

   Each speaker may address the Commission for up to three (3) minutes.  During officer-involved death deliberations,
   family members or a family spokesperson may address the Commission for up to five (5) minutes.

        Updates from RPD on the 2008 and 2009 officer-involved death cases.

   5.  Public Comments

        Public comment on any subject matter within the Commission's jurisdiction

  B)   June 10 Training Meeting

   7.  Hill Officer-Involved Death (OID) Evaluation Process

  Continued discussion and further action, if any (which may include approval of the public report), of the
  Commission's public report regarding the officer-involved death of Joseph Hill on October 19, 2006.  The process is

  expected to continue with:

  A)   Discussion of Stage VI, Prepare Written Public Report

   8.  Annual Reports Draft

  Discussion and further action, if any, of the draft report covering the Commission’s activities in 2007 and 2008

   9.  Commission Member Comments

  Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2, Commission members may use this time to make brief

  announcements or a brief report on his or her own activities.
